Friday Sermon

HAZRAT AMIR’UL MUMINEEN MUHYI-UD-DIN

Munir Ahmad Azim

22 February 2013 ~
(10 Rabi’ul Aakhir 1434 Hijri)

(Summary of Friday Sermon)

After having greeted all his followers (and all Muslims) round the world – mentioning the nearby islands, India, Kerala, Trinidad and Tobago etc. – with the Salutations of Peace, Hazrat Muhyi-ud-Din (atba) read the Tashahhud, Taouz and Surah Al Fatiha and he said:

وَ قُلۡ جَآءَ الۡحَقُّ وَ زَہَقَ الۡبَاطِلُ ؕ اِنَّ الۡبَاطِلَ کَانَ زَہُوۡقًا ۝
“Wa qul jaaa-al-Haqqu wa zahaqal-Baatil: Innal Baatila kaana zahuuqa.”
“And say, ‘Truth has come, and falsehood has departed. Indeed is falsehood, ever bound to depart.’” (17: 82)

I am continuing on the same subject of my two previous sermons whereby Allah is making us understand the sign of truth from these verses of the Quran. That is why that despite the weakness of a group but if truth is with it, then the truth is so powerful that it becomes clear to say that verily truth has come and falsehood has disappeared.

Therefore the secret of Dawa resides in this fact, that when you establish your bond with truth, when someone attacks you, then it is as if he is attacking truth. If someone is frowning at you (and angry), then it is as if he is frowning at Allah. If someone attacks you, then it is as if he is attacking Allah. This is the message which Allah has attracted my attention to tell you with firmness. The infidels think that Islam is a weak tree. It is true that Islam is weak in the beginning, especially when the Muslims are not yet ready to face the harshness of trials for the defence of the religion of Allah. It is true that Muslims do not have the capacities of defence, but yet, Islam (and the Muslims) is a tree which shall reap its fruits, and there is someone who protects these trees so that they may be fruitful. Therefore, whenever you shall embody these trees which shall reap fruits, it is then that Allah shall stand in your support, and verily Allah shall handicap each plan of the enemies and make them taste defeat. But for the concretion of this realisation, it is not easily done; it is not as if one waves a magic wand! You must beforehand establish your bond with Al-Haq, the Truth.

When a Divine message comes, you must be attentive to it. You must not be negligent concerning it and you must never think that it is Munir who is saying this or “shall we listen to it and put it into practice or not”. If you have this kind of egoism in you, then I ask you to remove it from you, to remove your “self” (Nafs).

The work of Dawa has already begun. Therefore do as per the instructions of Allah. The first Dawa is to be made with yourself if you say that you recognise this truth; then you must put it into practice. Do not think that this work is easily done. Dawa work must be done with you coming into contact with other people, you going to them and give them these messages of truth. It is not be that we do as the others do, doing nothing concrete and above that they criticise those who are doing their work or they discourage the people who are doing their work with great zeal. Instead of encouraging these people to continue doing this noble work, in the way they behave they seek to discourage them. Bear in mind that the plan which Allah has made, nobody can ever defeat that plan, come what may. The plans of Allah shall be operational according to His Decree, according to the time He allocated so that these plans are fruitful upon implementation. Therefore, we, the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam must continue in our efforts to establish truth, truth which Allah wants us to establish. Our duty is to please Allah and work with devotion to enable the mission which Allah has vouchsafed us with to be triumphant. Therefore, all your activities, be it on Dawa and the other activities must be reported to the headquarters quickly. This world must become for us a fertile land which is right for us to plant the seed of divine love in the hearts of people. It is verily Allah who gives faith (Iman), but it is our duty to give people the message and prepare the ground, the way so that Allah guides whomsoever He wills, those who deserve to be rightly guided (as per the decision of Allah).

May Allah help each of us in the Jamaat to understand our responsibilities. I am only a humble servant of Allah. The message which I receive from my Rab, I give it to you. Now it is for you to act as per the instructions received. It is for you to take your responsibilities, and Allah has made me understand: “Arise and Create a New World” (English), and He also says (so many times), “You are the New Orbit” (English). And my Rab makes me understand that if you all bind yourself with truth, then you shall go from progress (success) to progress (success). This success shall bring about Divine Satisfaction. But if you cut yourself from this truth, then Allah shall also cut His connection with you, and Allah makes me understand to put this message before my disciples, the members of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam that all that the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam (the members therein) is doing, you have to inform me, and the final decision is to be taken by the Khalifatullah. Allah makes me understand that all committees, activities, before you all take a decision in your committee (Amila), the Khalifatullah must be aware of all that goes on, and it is him (that is, this humble self) who has to take the final decision, and if the Khalifatullah takes a decision, nobody in the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam must feel himself frustrated or perturb.

“O Muhyiuddin, tell them: “All praise to Allah and peace be upon His chosen servants. If I have chosen you, then you must listen to My words and must do My works with love and with full cooperation (with one another). Tell them: “All Praise be to Allah, to whom belongs all that there is in the heavens and earth, and to Him all glory in the hereafter. He is All-Wise, All-Aware.”

Tell them that the Creator is well informed of what they do, and then He informs His servant and the servant of Allah give the message to you all. Nobody must have the least arrogance in his heart, because arrogance shall destroy your faith. Show humility. And all of you work together with humility. Do not hurt people’s feelings, especially those who are working for My cause; make sure to forget your own selves for the love of Allah.”

“O My servant, Khalifatullah, you are always with Me; all those who are with Me, all those who have Taqwa (fear of Allah) in their hearts, shall be with Me and with you also. Accept the Divine Justice; it is in this way that you shall be in the rank of the Just ones (the pious).” (Creole)

Do what Allah tells you to do so that we may be get your reward. Bear in mind that Divine Justice is the true Justice. It is that your priority (that is, Divine Justice). It is this kind of justice that we must strive for if you like to forgive and love (others). It is with this that you must bind yourself with, with truth (Al-Haq). In this context, the Holy Quran has mentioned its different aspects. I shall explain you some in reference with some verses.

The first thing that you have to bear in mind that there is no restricting this confrontation and the confrontation is against those who are apparently strong and powerful. But with the help of Allah, it is the weak one who afterwards overcomes (the apparently strong). In another place (in the Holy Quran), with reference to Hazrat Musa (upon him be peace), it is said that when the magicians came before Hazrat Musa (upon him be peace), the latter told them to drop on the ground all that they had in their hands. When they let their (ropes) fall, then Hazrat Musa (upon him be peace) said that this was magic, and here magic means lies, falsehood, something unreal, something which is done to deceive the eyes of people; thus a petty thing. And Hazrat Musa (upon him be peace) said that Allah shall certainly not let the evil ones prosper. And Allah always supports the truthful ones and He shows His support to them as Sign.

In the case of Hazrat Musa (upon him be peace), it is what happened. When the sorcerers let their rods fall down on the ground, these were not transformed into snakes. It was only a magic trick. They hypnotised the eyes of the people and the latter began seeing snakes when in fact there were no snakes. And when Hazrat Musa (upon him be peace) let his rod fall on the ground, then with the permission and blessing of Allah and in accordance with the triumphant laws of Allah, these dispelled the fear which people manifested (when their eyes were previously hypnotised) and therefore the sorcerers’ magic could work no more and then they saw this manifestation as a rod itself and there was no snakes (with which they bewitched the eyes of the people).

Therefore, when you have connection with the truth, then you obtain the necessary courage, strength and power and you see that the striving of the enemies are nothing at all, a meaningless thing. That is why Allah has told Hazrat Musa (upon him be peace) not to harbour any fear. Thus, even if at the beginning there was the presence of fear, then this also was connected with truth. Hazrat Musa’s (upon him be peace) mind did not drift to the evil plots of the enemies. His heart was clean and clear. They verily saw the snacks because that which their minds commanded them, it is that very thing that they saw. Allah knew what he (Hazrat Musa) was seeing, but then Allah reassures him, telling him not to fear and to drop down his rod and he shall see what will happen. And when he did let the rod fall down, it was the rod itself which he saw, and there was no real snakes.

Therefore, if at the time you confront the enemies you show fear when they say that they shall do this and that, and you capitulate and back down and you think that you have committed an error, then you cannot become a good missionary. To become a good missionary, you must have wisdom, and not be fearful and not become a coward. Concerning wisdom, each prophet acquires it (through divine intervention).

Thus, without wisdom there cannot be Dawa. At the start of Dawa itself, there must be wisdom. But in no way there must be fear of any type, (except of course for the fear of Allah). No. Allah says that He is with us. Let us analyse the episode of what happened in the cave of Thor when Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) was hiding in that cave and the enemies were just outside. There was an extraordinary fear from the part of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (May Allah be pleased with him) lest something happened with the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). He feared for his security. But with firmness and a determinant force, Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) told him not to fear for they were not alone; Allah was with them. This is the bond with truth, when no fear can overpower you if you are firmly attached to truth. But in these situations, the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) used wisdom also. He told them (the enemies, opponents) that truth was with him and they can come and try to do whatever they want (but that they will not succeed). If people suffer losses when they do things while being deprived of wisdom, then they shall not succeed. Despite the fact that they do not see any way out, but still, the true believers make the announcement that Allah is with them. This is because their hearts are filled with very strong honour and trust in Allah.

This is an announcement which Hazrat Musa (upon him be peace) also made when he fled the Pharaoh. He advised his people not to be fearful, for Allah is with them. If at that moment he was fleeing from Pharaoh, this does not mean that he was fearful of him. At that moment, faith and wisdom demanded that he keeps away from the Pharaoh and that he goes far away, and then Allah did prove that this was not a flight based on fear, but rather it was necessary so that Pharaoh may see the manifestation of Allah. Not only did the Pharaoh see that manifestation but all the people also.

History records this anecdote, that a servant of Allah (Moses) overcame a great Pharaoh and all the army of the Pharaoh were drown. Therefore, all those who side with truth do not need to fear because truth shall do its work, but if there is not a complete bond with truth and if there is not a full certitude that you are with Allah and Allah is with you, and if you do not show these signs of truth in you, then you shall never succeed in the work of Dawa. Your voice shall only be powerful when behind that voice there is the power of Allah which talks. Then despite your weakness, but your call shall have a greater and more powerful effect.
