With the arrival of our brothers and sisters at the centre of the Jamaat in the morning, formal registration of delegates began at 10.00 am. At 11.00 a.m. members gathered in the premises of the Masjid for an hour-long Waqar-e-Amal Programme, to clear and clean up the surroundings of the Noorul Islam Masjid.

After lunch break, brothers assembled again at the Masjid at 3.00 p.m. Amir Sahib led an hour-long study session on the importance of Dawa and the necessity and significance of Bai’at. Quoting profusely from the Holy Qur’an and the Ahadith, Amir Sahib made a profound case for standing united under a Divinely-raised Khalifa (Khalifatullah) for the progress of Islam and humanity. He cautioned against the perils of keeping away from Bai’at once Allah sends in His representative with a mission to unite mankind.

After the speech, all brothers had tea and snacks and a general conversation was ensued with the honourable guest, the Soufi Sahib, Shahul Hameed Sahib.

After Maghrib prayer, the Siraj Makin programmed their meeting.

Moreover, Amir Sahib addressed the gathered members on the importance of the times in the history of the Jamaat - with a Mubahila being signed with Abdul Ghaffar Janbah Sahib of Germany. He underscored the importance of reciting the special prayers taught by Hadhrat Sahib (atba) in this connection and the need to perform Tahajjud prayers on a regular basis invoking special blessings of Allah on the Muhyuiddin and for the Jamaat in general. He also spoke about the importance of carrying on with Dawa activities on a sustained basis.

At 4:30 a.m. members assembled for the Tahajjud Prayers and later, around 5:45 a.m., Namaz-e-Fajr was offered collectively. Amir Sahib led a study session on verses of the Holy Qur’an and some Ahadith on the occasion.

After breakfast at 8:00 a.m., visiting members went back to their respective places. Alhamdulillah, the assembled members left with a feeling of spiritual nourishment and renewal. On this occasion, a video recording was made of the event along with photos.

Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Kerala organized its historic Jalsa Salana at Noorul Islam Masjid, Mathra, 22-23 December 2012. Alhamdulillah. Registration proceedings began at 11.00am on 22 December, with the arrival of our brothers from Alappuzha and Karunagappally. Namaz-e- Zuhar and Aser was followed by Lunch.

Y. K. Haris Sahib presided over the Inaugural session which began at 3.00pm. D.A. Zainul Abdeen Sahib performed Tilawat-ul Qur’an. K. Salim Sahib offered a formal welcome note to everyone present on the occasion.

Amir Jamaludeen Sahib made the Inaugural Speech. In his speech, the Amir Sahib exhorted the members to understand the grave responsibilities on the shoulders of each one of us in this age.

· As the virtual ambassadors of the Messenger of Allah of our times, Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim (atba) of Mauritius, we have a common cause to spread the Divine Message everywhere and it entails imaginative engagement at several, different levels. Amir Sahib exhorted members to read and be aware of the latest sermons and follow the advisory opinions of the Khalifatullah (atba) in everyday life so that we may be in a position to discharge our responsibilities to the best of our abilities.

K. Abdul Hakeem Sahib who spoke later underscored the need for proactive engagement in Thabligh matters within Kerala for spreading the Word of Allah in our times.

After Maghrib and Isha’i prayers in the evening, there was a Tarbiyyat session. The Amir Sahib explained to the gathering some of the recent projects which the Khalifatullah (atba) has brought forward before the Jamaat for potential implementation, including the Holy Qur’an Commentary publication and the Mosque(s)-building projects.  He underscored the need for generous contributions and financial sacrifice by members necessary for executing these ambitious projects. Given the present limitations and constraints of the members, the Amir Sahib exhorted our dear brothers and sisters to increase at the individual level, prayers and efforts keeping in view the larger goals before the Jamaat.

On the occasion of the Jalsa Salana, the SIRAJ MAKIN sisters held a separate meeting of their own.

The Sadr Sahiba Dr. Haseena Masood Fazil presided over the Meeting which was held on 23 December 2012 at 7.30pm. The Tilawat’ul Qur’an was performed by our sister Fa-e-zah Maryam Zain. Major discussion at the Meeting revolved around three themes:

1. spiritual reward for actions/deeds depend upon good intention (Niyyat) ;

2. a spiritually-evolved lady shall recognize and respect and act upon her responsibilities towards the spouse;

3. concept of obedience to authority in Islam. The themes discussed were introduced by three of our sisters- Fa-e-zah Maryam Zain, Sofiyah Beevi, and Fauzia Jamal, respectively. The themes were based on the Traditions of the Holy Prophet (pbuh), collected and commented upon by Hadhrat Mirza Bashir Ahmad (ra) in his book “Forty Gems of Beauty”.

The Kerala Sadr Sahiba, in her speech, underscored three points:

1) Importance of Namaz;

2) Importance of Tahajjud prayers;

3) Need for restraint and responsibility in the way the Siraj Makin spent their spare time.

Drawing upon her recent experience of learning and translating the Friday sermons of Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba), the Sadr Sahiba exhorted all sisters to read the sermons to gain a wider understanding of the purpose of life as envisaged by Islam and the Holy Prophet (pbuh). Pointing to the contemporary trend among women to spend hours all together, watching programmes on entertainment/ television channels, the Sadr Sahiba advised the sisters to refrain from such inherently wasteful pursuits and to invest the retrieved time elsewhere – for both spiritual and secular welfare of the individual and the community. The meeting ended with a special Duah at 8.15pm.

On the second Day of the Jalsa, Tahajjud prayers were offered collectively at the Noor’ul Islam Masjid at 4.30am. After Namaz-e- Fajr, Dars’ul Qur’an was conducted by the Amir Sahib. During the session, Verses 24-25, Surah Al Taubah were specifically explained and commented upon.

After breakfast, the Valedictory session began at 10.00am. After an introductory speech by the Amir Sahib, all members listened with rapt attention to the special Speech from Mauritius delivered by the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Sahib (atba) on the occasion.

The Amir Sahib later read out a Malayalam version of the Speech prepared by the SIRAJ MAKIN sisters.

Photos were taken on the occasion as a record for posterity. After Namaz-e- Zuhar and Asr, a special Thanksgiving DUAH was offered by all for the success of the Programme. Lunch was served and the members departed with renewed spiritual fervour and verve, Alhamdulillah. Summa Alhamdulillah.
